Cook Island Language Week

This week we are celebrating Cook Island Language Week. We can say a basic a conversation in Cook Island Maori and have noticed that it is very similar to Te Reo Maori. 

There are 15 major islands and they are divided into two distinct groups - The Southern Cook Islands and the Northern Cook Islands.

What Learning did you find challenging this week?

I think I could work on the math because the last word question with % was really hard

How did you use a growth mindset to overcome these learning challenges?

At first I asked mr J how to use the strategy then I tried them I got 2 out of 3 right.

What is the piece of the work you are most proud of this week?

The thing I am really proud of is my drawing in my Maori booklet because I think I did a quality job. 

Why are you proud if it?

Because of the things above  and I tried really hard and think I succeeded

What Learning did you find challenging this week?

I found my math hard because we were doing  % and this was one of the first time for
me doing % and how fractions and % go together.

How did you use a growth mindset to overcome these learning challenges?

By keep on trying and never giving up and if It was to hard I asked for a bit of help from the teacher or class mates to see how to do it.

What is the piece of the work you are most proud of this week?

also my math because of how the tasks were and how I never gave up and tried my hardest no matter how hard it was.

Why are you proud if it?

Because of the things above and that I had to ask for help from a friend and he told me how to do it and then I got the hang of it.

What Learning did you find challenging this week?

To get my writing plan finished and my second paragraph. Because it was just a plan orange city with one tower and a broken coliseum but I just used my imagination and add more stuff in.

How did you use a growth mindset to overcome these learning challenges?

By keep on trying and using my imagination and adding some more stuff into the picture so the reader can imagine he was in that very spot.

What is the piece of the work you are most proud of this week?

Also my writing because I was really proud of how I really used my imagination and adding in a lot of detailed stuff.

Why are you proud if it?

Because of all the things above and how I ignored my friends talking to each other and because I tried my hardest.

What did I achieve this week during Passion Project time?

To right all about what we did the week before and editing are videos so they look good. we also managed to  right what will we do next week.

What challenges did I have?

To right what we will do next week. Also to use a lot of describing words. and to get it accepted by the teacher.

What am I going to work on next week?
To add a lot more videos to my slide and put in how hard it was
and what we are doing next week.

To get all the words down in inquiry because the video went so fast. 

How did you use a growth mindset to overcome these learning challenges?

I used a growth  mindset bye asking a friend if they new what it said and if they didn't  know I asked if they could pause the video

My maths  sheet because I put a lot of effort in to it.

What did I achieve this week during Passion Project time?

We got four videos done and put them on i movie. I did to two three pointers Liam did one three pointer and Jack did a jelly layup.

What challenges did I have?

To actually make the three pointer and get it on video.we didn't use are time correctly and didn't publish any work.

What am I going to work on next week?

To get more videos on the i movie and get different types of shots on video or skills.

My maths because I forgot how to use frictions and plussing  them together

Ask how to use them and I started to get them right. and keep trying and not 
talking to my friends and listing.
